Samantha felt the tears well up in her eyes. She knew Christopher would have been proud. "She's perfect," Samantha whispered to Jeff.

Samantha smiled at him. This was going to be the new beginning she needed.....or so she thought........

~3 month later~

Samantha held Jeff's hand expectantly as they sat in the exam room while the doctor was running tests on Hailey. Samantha knew the odds of Hailey having CP were great, 80% to be exact, but she still prayed her little girl wouldn't have to suffer the way she had to.

Samantha looked up when she heard the door to the room creak open. The doctor held Hailey's file in his hands. "Well Ms. Delessio," the doctor began. "I'm sorry to tell you this, but your daughter seems to be exhibiting all the early signs of Quad Spastic Cerebral Palsy." Samantha bit back a sob as tears started to roll down her cheeks. She didn't want Hailey to suffer.
