Are you kidding me?

Adam slipped his sunglasses over his blackened eyes as he climbed onto his Harley and headed off to school.

Peri smiled when she finally got to school, Jeff and Samantha were waiting for her. As they started togo inside she saw Adam pull into the school parking lot.

Adam got off his Harley after he parked. Normally he would slide his sunglasses up into his hair at that point, but that day, he left his eyes covered.

Peri looked back at Adam as Jeff and Samantha hurried her to class. She had a strange feeling that something was wrong.

Adam headed off toward his first class, walking faster when he saw Peri. He didn't want her asking questions.

Peri sighed as she saw him hurry to his first class. At lunch she decided look for him in the Cafeteria.

Once Adam got into the building, he had to take his sunglasses off. So in order to avoid questions he buried his face in a book.

At lunch Peri found Adam in the courtyard "Hey Adam." she said as she walk up to him.

"Hey," muttered the blonde, still not looking up.

"Umm is everything alright?" Peri asked, she was a little worried.

"Everything is fine," lied Adam, gritting his teeth. "I'm fine."

Peri sighed softly, she knew he was lying. "Please i just want to help" she said softly.

"You can't help now go away," grumbled Adam. He was in no mood to be bothered.

"Adam please." Peri said softly. She wanted to help.

"I said no, I don't need to ruin your perfect existence with my problems," growled Adam.

Peri grew angry when he said that "Shut the hell up, my life is far from perfect." she hissed.

"Yeah well what's so wrong with it," Adam hissed back.

"Whats wrong is that i have parents that don't give a fuck about about me, siblings that bully me, my dad luctures me every night telling me that i'm not good enough and that i should grow up and give up my art which is the only good thing in my life." Peri said as she tried to hold back tears, she turned quickly starting to walk away.

Adam's heart sank. He had no idea. "Peri wait...." Adam pleaded softly. He took off his sunglasses. "I'm sorry, I didn't know...."

Peri sighed "Nobody knows but Jeff and Samantha." she said as she turned around, gasping softly when she saw his eye "Adam are you ok?" she asked worriedly.

Adam nodded slowly. "It's normal for me," Adam said sadly.

"Oh Adam." said Peri as she gently touched the bruise.

"It's been a lot worse than this in the past," sighed Adam.

"Adam i'm sorry i didn't know..." said Peri softly.

Adam shook his head. "It's okay, I'm not upset."
